What is a token?
Tokens are how Loopline prices generation. Each model and length has a token price, shown on the generate button before anything runs, and that quote is exactly what you’re charged. For example, a Veo 3.1 Fast clip (8 s, with sound) is 170 tokens and a Nano Banana Pro image is 55. Free work stays free: previews, timeline and clip exports, and local clipping (probe, transcript, heuristic ranking). Ranking a long video with Jev in Clip is 31 tokens per analysis.
Do tokens expire? Do they roll over?
Plan tokens arrive each month, annual plans included, and expire at the end of the month unless your plan rolls them over: Starter has no rollover, Creator rolls unused tokens over for one month, Studio rolls unused tokens over for one month. Free signup tokens last 30 days and the monthly free tokens last until the next grant. Top-up tokens last 12 months. Tokens are spent in that order: bonus first, then plan, then top-up, earliest expiry first.
What if a generation fails?
You get every token back. A failed, cancelled or refused job refunds its full token price automatically, even when the model provider has already billed us.
Can I use what I make commercially?
Yes, on every plan. We only switch on models whose providers’ published terms allow commercial use of the output, and you own your uploads and edits. Some providers mark their output (for example Google’s SynthID or BytePlus AI labels); keep those marks in place.
What happens when I run out?
Generation pauses before it starts: you see how many tokens the job needs and how many you’re short, with the cheapest top-up and the plan that would cover it. Nothing is charged until you choose. Editing, previews and exports keep working. Free accounts get 30 more tokens each month.
Can I switch plans or cancel?
Yes. Change or cancel from Billing in the app. An upgrade adds the difference in tokens for the current period; a cancelled plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and tokens you already have keep their expiry.
